ELIZABETH DREYFUSS

Elizabeth left home at 15 years of age to star in a musical Christmas Pantomime in London, as well as touring and West End London theatre's "THE BOYFRIEND," "WEST SIDE STORY" and many British Television Shows. Her sister, Dela, already had an impressive career as an Opera singer.  She was the soloist at the Royal Albert Hall for Royalty and starred in West End plays, and on television.

Elizabeth has "showbiz in her blood," from her grandfather who sang and danced in music halls, to her mother singing with the big bands during the Second World War. "Mum" became a studio hairstylist, working on "GREAT EXPECTATIONS," "OLIVER," and "WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION," and also "MOBY DICK," where she was to meet Elizabeth's father, Eric, a renowned studio makeup artist.

Elizabeth's uncle, Stanley Hall was also a legend in show business. His WIG CREATIONS company did the wigs for many films, including "CLEOPATRA" with Elizabeth Taylor.  Many stars became his friends and Elizabeth remembers staying in the "Vivian Leigh Suite" at his house in the country where Vivian and Noel Coward would go for weekends!

When Elizabeth first emigrated here, she got a job in PR and ended up taking Tom Cruise to his first interview with Merv Griffin for RISKY BUSINESS. So many chapters and such an interesting life, being an Executive Assistant to Ridley Scott (Director) and Don Bellisario (Quantum Leap, MAGNUM PI and JAG) and then going to Rome to meet the Pope to work as Executive Assistant to Tony Verna -- the Producer and Director of Live Aid etc; (he invented instant replay) for a live historical event for World Peace. She eventually opened up her own very successful Film and TV Location business in Los Angeles, 'Ascot Locations,' where she worked on TV shows like '24' and 'XFiles' and many feature films.

Elizabeth's "showbiz life" continues with her husband, Lorin Dreyfuss, a comedy writer, actor and producer (and the brother of Richard Dreyfuss.) Lorin and Elizabeth permanently moved to the desert after Elizabeth sold 'Ascot Locations' after 15 years in business.

In the desert last year she sang with the Desert Cities Jazz Band with Hal Linden on clarinet, and those who heard her -- astounded, kept asking where she was singing -- only she wasn't.  So she decided to write a cabaret show that stars Elizabeth and her 'Opera singer sister' Dela, who was a child prodigy with a singing range of 4 octaves. It was one way to get back to their original musical roots and show off their talents.

DELA ZIMMER

Delatour was one of those phenomenal talents that come along only rarely in a lifetime. By the tender age of three, her favorite music was classical and she displayed a singing voice of unusual maturity that left her family and those, who heard her -- astounded! By the age of 10 years, having won almost every English regional music contest available, Dela was invited to perform on T.V. and Radio shows.

The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, invited Dela to accept an education with them for Music, Drama and Opera. At sixteen Dela was two years younger than the minimum enrollment age of 18 years. At the completion of the course Dela was invited to join the famous Sadler's Wells Opera Company at the age of twenty. However at this point Dela decided to join the Tom Arnold company as the female lead in a revival of  ‘Lilac Time’, music by Shubert, and for the next several months toured all over England.

The next three years brought many diverse engagements, including one at the altar! While juggling married life, and nightly performances at the famous London Palladium, Dela also appeared in many T.V. and Radio shows, including appearances with ‘The Ronnie Barker Show' ( well known as part of the British comedy team 'The Two Ronnies') and a BBC special of the 'Merry Widow' by Franz Lehar

Then guest artist appearances at the Old Players Theatre in London, which was televised weekly and broadcast on the BBC. The most fun was when her young sister Elizabeth was on the show as well!  The Lyric Theater in the West End of London came next, with a lengthy run of ‘Robert and Elizabeth’ based on the poets, Robert Browning and wife Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Plays by Sheridan followed and then an invitation to sing as special guest artist,  before their Graces ,The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at the world renowned Royal Albert Hall in London! There followed another starring tour of England and Scotland,  and a summer season in Bournemouth, but this time with two small children and a Nanny!

While living in New Mexico, Dela was the guest artist in many concerts with the  renowned  former conductor of the Santa Fe Opera, Robert Baustian, performing Arias, Oratorio and the opera, ‘Der Zigeuner Baron’ by Johann Strauss.
